Gas vs. Electric Dryers - What You Need to Know

If you have a gas dryer, the gas line needs to be disconnected and capped before we arrive. This is a quick job for a plumber or appliance technician - often a 15-minute service call. We don't disconnect gas lines; that's licensed work. If your new dryer installer capped it, you're already set.

Electric dryers: unplug from the 240V outlet and we handle the rest.

Do I Need to Drain the Washing Machine?

Run a spin cycle to remove as much water as possible. Disconnect the water supply hoses (there are two - hot and cold). Most washing machines have a small residual amount of water in the drum and hoses that will drain out during loading. We're used to it - just make sure the supply lines are disconnected before we load it.
